description: This fun and highly
informative class will include an in-depth explanation on the basic aspects
of nutrition. Beginning with an
overview of anatomy and the physiological processes of the digestive system,
students will also gain an understanding of: * The history of natural health. *The roles of nutrients *Links between diet,
aging and disease *Processed foods vs.
fresh and/or organic foods *Reading food labels *Determining and coping
with food allergies and intolerances *The relationship
between blood types and digestion *Common weight-loss
diets: why they work or don’t work *The Sugar Blues and
why it’s called that! *The true effects of
caffeine and alcohol on the body *Our profound emotional
attachment to food and how we can free ourselves from it. * Students can bring their own blood test
or I can order it for them and they will learn how to look for certain
weaknesses. * Students will learn about hair analysis, fesses and urine and saliva
analysis. In addition, specific
attention will be paid to the benefits of hydration and to foods that create
extraordinarily high levels of lactic acid and other metabolic wastes in the
muscles. There will also be up-to-date information regarding vitamins and supplements and an introduction to muscle testing for dietary weaknesses. NOTE: For a $30.00 charge payable to instructor the
students can be tested on their extra and intra cellular health, body fat and
muscle mass. (Regular cost $45.00). Students will
receive a report and learn how to read the report and what to do to make
