CranioSacral Therapy I

Instructor:  Gloria Flores

24 hrs       $337.00

Course Description:

Craniosacral Therapy is a therapeutic modality that offers specialty training for the body worker, massage therapist, chiropractor, physical therapist and anyone working in the healing arts. This modality is based on the work of Osteopath William Garner Sutherland. It is a hands-on method of whole-body evaluation and treatment that has proven clinically effective in facilitating the body‘s ability to self-heal.

The class helps the student learn to use light-touch palpation to ‘listen with their hands’ to the body’s subtle rhythms and to get into harmony, resonance and rapport with the fluidic nature of the body. Students learn a protocol to address the bones and membranes that surround the central nervous system. They expand their therapeutic presence as they learn to approach the client using healthy boundaries, honoring the client’s individual healing process, and creating a relationship that is non-invasive and client centered. The class uses lecture, demos and hands-on practice to help students learn to follow the body’s inherent movement patterns to facilitate the release of energy blocks and correct imbalances in the body. This class integrates aspects of Biodynamic, Visionary and Upledger Craniosacral Therapy. Craniosacral Therapy training is designed to enhance your massage career and further your own personal growth and development.

24 Hours   $337.00

Course Description:

Expanding on the previous course, students will expand their ability to work with the body’s Inner Physician and deepen their skill to support the body’s ability to self-correct. Through lecture, demos, and hands-on practice, students learn how to address the bones of the skull, face and mouth with a focus on restriction patterns of the sphenoid bone and the hard palate. The anatomy and physiology of these bones will be addressed along with their relationship to the body via the connective tissue system.

Students will further expand their knowledge of Craniosacral Therapy by learning how to facilitate the body’s unwinding process, releasing retained somatic trauma. They will explore light-touch methods to locate and release Energy Cysts and detect and correct spinal nerve blockages. Finally, students will learn to use their own personal skills and abilities to develop whole-body evaluation and treatment strategies for working with clients. This class integrates aspects of Biodynamic, Visionary and Upledger Craniosacral Therapy.
